Training And Certification Of Personnel Who Work With And Test Earthing Systems
Electrical training and assessment scheme
Two day theory and practical training course
Our earth electrode testing training content will cover the purpose of testing, testing conditions, test equipment, safety considerations, statutory regulations and standards, understanding test results, carrying out remedial work, practical testing procedures, 4 and 3 terminal testers, attached rod technique, clamp injection testers.
Course overview
This course outlines different types of earth electrode systems used in conjunction with high and low voltage networks including methods of testing earth electrode systems, earth resistivity and subsequent interpretation of test results (Note: this is not a design course).
Who should attend?
Electrical Contractors, Electricians, Engineers/Technicians responsible for the installation, commissioning and testing of earth electrodes used on low voltage systems i.e. 230/400 volt.
Course aims and objectives
To provide theoretical and plenty practical instruction in the testing of earth electrode systems, during the course delegates will gain an appreciation of the Technology, Practice and Standards BS EN BS 7430 Code of practice for earthing: BS 7430:2011+A1:2015 including the fundamentals of earthing in general types of electrode and of Soil Enhancement. Plus a detailed knowledge of the Technology and Practice involved in the application of Earthing, Measuring Soil Resistivity, Earth Electrode Installation and Testing, Certification and Reporting
Certification
Delegates who successfully complete the course and both theoretical and practical assessments will receive a PRH Core Competence certificate. Delegates who fail or do not wish to undertake the competence assessments will receive a PRH attendance certificate.
